Have you ever felt silly reciting affirmations? Sure, you want to believe them but you can’t get past the fact that you have not achieved the thing you so desire yet. Try this manifestation method for beginners “Wouldn’t it be nice if…”!

Or, perhaps, you want to start manifesting your dreams but where do you start?

There are so many different manifestation methods, so many authors who speak about manifestation, and thousands upon thousands of YouTube videos on the topic. I can see why someone would be overwhelmed and not know where to start.

Let’s start with the basics.

What Is Manifesting? Does It Work?

Manifesting (or manifestation) is using your thoughts, feelings, and intentions to bring about a desired outcome.

Does it really work?

That is up to you and how to perceive the situations at hand.

Some people will swear by manifestation, other people will simply credit a change in their thought pattern which caused them to take action to reach their dreams. Some people will say it’s all fake.

There is no scientific evidence to back up manifestation, but there are similarities to cognitive behavioural therapy – which is a scientifically proven method to change your life.

In my opinion, spending a few minutes every day to check in with myself and my desires improves my mental state and makes me feel better (thus creating a “high vibe” state). When I feel better, I am more likely to be productive and take the actions needed towards my goals. I also find it easier to control my emotions when I have taken the time to focus on meditation and affirmations (two of my favourite law of attraction techniques).

Even if I don’t ever achieve my big goals, feeling emotionally better in my day to day experience is worth the 5-10 minutes a day I dedicate towards this practice.

This manifestation method for beginners, or anyone really, is a great way to begin tapping into good feeling thoughts.

If you have ever listened to or read any Abraham Hicks, you will have heard all about good feeling thoughts. It was in an Esther Hicks book, where she shares her knowledge from Abraham, that I discovered this law of attraction technique “Wouldn’t It Be Nice If…”.

Fake It Before You Make It

Have you ever tried using affirmations like “I am abundant”, “I am financially free”, “I am living my best life”…

But the whole time you are saying them, you know, deep down, that you haven’t achieved these yet. You may feel silly or perhaps you even feel like a fraud?

I know what’s how I felt when I started with conscious manifestation.

A lot of people would say that you have to fake it before you make it. Repeat these affirmations enough times and you will start believing them.

To me, this sounds like a waste of time because I have discovered something better.

Wouldn’t It Be Nice If…

I thought that this was a great manifestation method for beginners because it doesn’t involve affirmations that you haven’t achieved yet. So many people have told me that they don’t like affirmations because they don’t believe them and therefore cannot connect with the good feeling thoughts associated with the affirmation.

This is where “wouldn’t it be nice if” comes into the story.

Instead of repeating an affirmation like “I have met my soulmate”, you say “wouldn’t it be nice if I met my soulmate”. A simple change in wording takes the affirmation from something you have a hard time believing into something you can really put emotion behind.

Wouldn’t it be nice if…

  • I owned my dream vehicle
  • I found the perfect apartment
  • my soulmate proposed
  • i was financially free
  • my partner was my best friend
  • my health improved
  • I was a non smoker

When you phrase your manifestation in this matter, it is easier to feel the emotions behind the statement.

It would be nice to have these things. How does it feel to imagine having those things?

This manifestation method for beginners is great because it is easier to tap into those good feeling emotions and thoughts around what you desire when it is phrased in this manner. Once you are able to truly tap into how good it feels to have those things, you will find it easier to shift those feelings to other manifestation methods.
