Before I get out of bed every morning, I like to say some morning motivation affirmations. I like to start the day off on the right foot by approaching the day with the right mindset.

If I start my day by complaining about everything that I have to do, then there is no motivation to actually complete things. There are days where the morning has come too early or I am not feeling well, these are the most important days for me to take the time to get into the correct mindset for the day.

By starting my day with this morning routine, my mindset is a positive one. I understand my goals and what I need to do to reach them. I know why I am doing what I need to be doing.

My Morning Meditation

My morning meditation is an important part of my routine. I take time to do this before getting out of bed, sometimes before I even open my eyes to greet the day.

I start by closing my eyes, if they are not already, and focusing on my breathing.

  • breath in
  • breath out

Focus on how the air feels as it flows through my nose. Focus on my torso rising and expanding with each breath. Feel the sensation and calm of breathing.

If thoughts distract me, I will acknowledge them and let them move on.

When I am feeling like I am calm, relaxed, and not distracted by other thoughts, I will then focus on my affirmations.
