A tarot journal combines tarot reading, journaling, and creativity. Today’s cards speak of shadow work and finding alignment with ones self.
I love to journal.
I find that journaling really helps to work through what is going on in my head. Sometimes my journal is all written and other times, like today, I work in more of an art journal or a junk journal – combine art and journaling together.
Today, I am bringing you with me as I work in my journal. This journal allows me to combine my love for tarot and oracle reading with the creative journaling process.
Tarot Journal With Me
Today’s cards are the Seven of Vessels (Mourning) and the Tsunami (Wake Up).
Supplies Used
Here is a list of supplies that I used in this video. Some, like the stickers or paint brushes, have been collected over years and so I did my best to find similar products!
Notebook and Pens
My notebook is a simple black, dot grid notebook I purchased from Amazon. It is not the best paper for watercolour but the cost fit my budget!
The pens I used are also from Amazon. I like the variety of sizes so I can use a pen that fits the look I want for that part of the page.
Paints and Paint Brushes
The watercolour set I use is a travel set by Aquafine. I purchased mine at Michaels using at coupon!
My paint brushed have been accumulated over decades of asking for art supplies for Yule and my birthday. My favourite brands are Windsor & Newton and Faber-Castell. I am a snob for good brushes because they do work better than cheap brushes. But I have also been known to buy cheap multipacks of brushes because I have 4 children who like to paint with me.
Paper and Stickers
I use an assortment of different scrapbooking papers.
Vintage Treasures is the collection from which I got the map paper. The piece with the “Stay Wild Moon Child” quote is from the Dream Chaser Paper Pad by Recollections. I purchased this at Michaels Canada (sorry, I could not find the same set on Amazon).
My sticker collection has been growing ever since I had my first child over a decade ago. They come from all over the place – from Amazon (mushroom stickers) to the dollar store. The moon sticker I put on at the very end was in a set that was gifted to me (maybe Wish?) so I do not know where it originally came from but here it is on Amazon!
I have also had amazing success finding scrapbooking supplies at thrift stores so do not under estimate looking there!
Love, light, and happiness to you all.
Have a fantastic day.
