What is your current relationship to your body? This journal prompt is designed to help you understand the current relationship with and how you feel about your physical body.
Before we get started on the actual prompt, let’s discuss journaling and why prompts can be helpful.
Journal Prompt 101
Do you ever want to get into journaling but have no clue what to write?
That is the point of journal prompts. Sometimes we just need a journal prompt to give us ideas or to get the thoughts flowing out of our heads and onto the paper in front of us.
If you struggle with staring at a blank page and not knowing where to begin, subscribe to our newsletter so you never miss a journal prompt!
Why Journaling?
As someone who is constantly trying to be a better version of myself, I find journaling to be so helpful. For me, journaling is a great way to connect with where you are and where you have been. Journaling can also be a great way to understand where you want to go in the future and for manifestation. But my personal preference is to use it to get lingering thoughts out of my head.
Using journaling for shadow work is very beneficial for me and how my brain works. I hope it works for you as well.
The great thing about journaling, whether on paper or typing, is that you can get thoughts out of your head and then destroy it! No need to fear if someone sees it. I hated the idea of a diary as a kid because what if someone saw it! You can delete the document or burn the paper (safely!).
Now, of course, you can use a notebook or journal. But if you want to destroy it after you have written all your thoughts, just use scrap paper or a text document!
You can write as much or as little as you desire.
Do not judge what you are writing.
Try and let the ideas flow from your brain onto the paper without hesitation or thought.
Don’t worry about spelling, grammar, or proper penmanship. Just write.
What is your current relationship to your body?
We all exist in a human body and many of us have very complex relationships with our bodies.
Think about the relationship with your body. Not just how you look but also how you feel about your body and how you treat your body.
If you were in a relationship with your physical form, what would you vent about to your friends? What would you share with eager excitement? What advice would you seek to improve that relationship?
This is not about critiquing your body or your physical appearance.
It is about the relationship between your mind and your body.
How do you feel about that relationship?
Love, light, and happiness to you all.
Have a fantastic day.
